The firm piano. The firm nas. The firm soundtrack. The Firm is one of the most ridiculously dumb movies I have ever
seen.
It reminded me of the kind of filler they used to show on TV on a
Wednesday afternoon.
The direction is laughable and the cast of stars is almost
completely wasted.
Some of the more minor characters like the FBI agent and the
Private detective are okay, but are totally wasted on this worthless
piece of garbage.
I could actually feel myself aging whilst enduring this in the
cinema.
Strangely I seemed to be the only one who realized how dreadful
the supposedly 'erotic' seduction on the beach was.
How I didn't laugh out loud I'll never know.
I can't help but think that John Grisham's novels are not well suited
to being filmed.
Worst of all, everything seemed at least 20 years out of date.
In a word? Crap.
